Dr. Miriam Throttling established her reputation as one of the foremost experts in the field of human relationships with the publication of her PhD thesis, Men and Celery – An Analysis, in 1924.

Two further works followed, Men and Women – A Contrast in Styles and Men and Weasels – Parallel Lives, before she turned her back on a prestigious university posting and spend the next forty years travelling the world in order to document the roles of men and women across a wide variety of cultures.
