Alice in Wonderland
Originally written for Alice Liddell, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has become one of
the world’s best-loved children’s classics. Although the story was written for a real child,
the original illustrations were quite different to the dark-haired Alice Liddell. Michael Foreman has now returned to the photographs taken by Lewis Carroll of the ‘real’ Alice, and created a wonderful imaginative progression of illustrations, moving from sepia-toned realistic images, to the vivid colours and magical landscapes of Wonderland.
