The Five Mile Press has just released Money Bags, the second title in the highly acclaimed Quizzical series by Leanne Davidson.

Everyone knows that Brain Davis is the smartest kid at school, but he ertainly isn’t the luckiest.

After an attack of the hiccups leaves him speechless during his appearance on Quizzical, Brain must bite his tongue and let his best mate, Ted, take the spotlight on Money Bags, the richest game show on earth.

But even Brain’s expert coaching cannot inspire confidence in Ted, and soon enough, it seems as though the evil plans of Prescot Heath may once again succeed...

This is the second in an extremely well-received series for primary to middle school boys.

Fun-filled with action, adventure and villains, Quizzical, the first book in the series, was described by Australian Bookseller & Publisher as ‘a fast-paced narrative that will entertain both boys and girls.’

Davidson self-published Quizzical in September 2006. It quickly went into its second print, selling around 3320 copies. It was republished by The Five Mile Press in June 2008 after receiving many accolades.

In 2006, Davidson was awarded the Australian Best Self Published Book Award for Fiction by the NSW Writers Centre. In 2007 it was added to the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge Booklist, and in 2008, it was added to the NSW and Tasmanian Premier’s Reading Challenge Booklists.

Davidson now visits schools and libraries introducing students to Interactive Quizzical. ‘Using the quiz show setting from the book, I developed a classroom version to help promote literacy and to encourage student participation in a fun way, and it’s been enormously successful,’ she explains.
